How do I add a pauses to my video?
Add pause nodes directly in the transcript to hold a frame for a set amount of time.
Open your video's transcript.
Right-click the point where you want the pause to start.
Select Add Space from the dropdown menu.
Use the + and − buttons to increase or decrease the pause duration, in seconds.
When you add a pause, it holds the last frame of the video for that duration.
❗️Note: Space nodes can only be added from the transcript. You can't add them from the timeline.
💡 Tip:
A space node you add this way is outlined in blue, so it's easy to tell apart from other space nodes.
If using Auto Jump Cut, apply it first and then add in space nodes later. While Auto Jump Cut won't impact your added space nodes, where you need to add them will be more clear post Auto Jump Cut.
Removing a pause
To delete a white outlined space node, tap on it and select "Remove pauses" from the list.
FAQs
Will by newly added blue pause nodes got removed by Auto Jump Cut
Space nodes added through Add Space aren't affected by auto jump cut. If a pause disappeared, check whether it was a natural pause in the recording rather than one added manually. Manually added space nodes (outlined in blue) are always preserved.
Why can't I make my non-blue pause nodes longer or shorter?
Pauses that come from your original media can't be resized. Instead, delete the pause and add a new space node with the duration you need, or add a second pause next to it.
