Capsule lets you control where your motion graphics and design components appear on screen. You can place components using a 9-point grid system, making it easy to position elements consistently.

Place a Component on the Grid

  • There are nine possible placements for any design component.

  • Use the grid system to quickly select where your component should appear (e.g., top-left, center, bottom-right).

Fine Tune Positioning

  • Use the arrow sliders to fine tune exactly where you want your position to be placed in case the 9-point grid system doesn't place it where it needs to be.

Safe Zones and Aspect Ratios

  • Capsule automatically adjusts design placement when you change your project’s Frame (aspect ratio).

  • The grid system ensures components stay within safe zones, so they won’t be cut off by platform overlays or user interfaces (e.g., the like or share button).

Move Overlapping Components

If a design component overlaps with another:

  1. Click on the component’s name in the left-side panel to open its settings.

  2. Under Position, select a new grid point to move it.

Tip: Use consistent positioning (such as lower-third for captions or logos) across projects to keep your videos clean and professional.
