If your video uploads and shows as a grey rectangle in transcript editing mode, that means it doesn’t have any audio to transcribe. You can still edit these videos and add motion graphics in Capsule using Timeline View.

Timeline View

  • In the lower-left corner of your screen, click Timeline View.

  • Your video will appear as a clip you can edit, even without a transcript.

Add Designs

  • Look above the clip timeline for Click to Add Design.

  • Drag your mouse to the point in the timeline where you want the design to appear.

  • Select any design component (such as text, motion graphics, or branding).

  • Layer on as many designs as you need to customize your video.

Tip: Timeline View is best for editing silent footage, product demos, or B-roll, since you can still apply all Capsule’s design elements without needing a transcript.
