Whether your footage has lots of dialogue, or zero dialogue, you can use Capsule to easily edit your footage.

Written by Blake Nesson

Editing Footage With Dialogue (Transcript View)

If your video includes dialogue:

  1. Upload your footage to Capsule.

  2. Capsule will automatically transcribe the audio using AI.

  3. Use the Transcript View to:

    • Follow along with the video line by line.

    • Highlight sections of the transcript to edit clips.

    • Add branding, captions, or design elements directly from the design menu.

Editing Footage Without Dialogue (Pro View)

If your video does not include dialogue:

  1. Switch to Pro View (lower-left corner of the screen or p on your keyboard)

  2. Use the timeline to:

    • Trim clips

    • Add motion graphics or branding

    • Edit your footage just like in traditional video editing tools

Tip: Use Transcript View for dialogue-heavy content (like interviews or podcasts) and Pro View for silent footage (like B-roll or product demos).
