Restoring a Cut

Auto Jump Cut sometimes cuts things a little too close. You can restore any cut made by Auto Jump Cut - whether the cut's pacing is too fast or part of a word blends in with a pause that was cut.

In the 'C Beta' menu, scroll down to 'Transcript', and make sure 'Hide auto jump cuts' is unchecked.

Those cuts will appear in your transcript and can be restored!

Words Blending Into a Silence

After restoring a cut, there is a way to trim a silence and avoid cutting off any words that may have blended into that silence node.

Double-click on the clip you are working on to open up timeline mode.

Here you can split the clip based on time, rather than a word! You'll need to make two splits in order to isolate the section from the rest of the clip.

Pro tip:

Click on the forward or back arrow to switch to the next clip in your timeline, making it super quick to make your 2nd split.
