If Auto Jump Cut trims too closely—removing part of a word or making pacing feel too fast—you can restore those cuts and fine-tune them based on timing.

Restoring a Cut

  • Open the ‘C’ menu.

  • Scroll down to Transcript.

  • Make sure Hide auto jump cuts is unchecked.

  • Any cuts made by Auto Jump Cut will now appear in your transcript.

  • Select the cut you want to restore.

Words Blending Into a Silence

Sometimes a word can blend into a silence that Auto Jump Cut removed. To correct this:

  • Switch to Timeline View (lower-left corner of the screen).

  • Locate the section where the word and silence overlap.

  • Make two splits around the section to isolate it.

  • Trim the silence without cutting off the word.

Tip: Use Transcript View for fast word-level edits, and Timeline View for precise timing adjustments. Together, they give you full control over your pacing.
